Ralphie the Buffalo is the name of the live mascot of the University of Colorado and is known as one of the best live mascots in sports. The tradition of Ralphie dates back to 1966 when Ralphie I first took the field and there have since been six different Ralphies to represent the university. Today, Ralphie VI makes regular appearances on campus and welcomes the Buffs Football team to the field before every home game.
